7 Quick Takes

1. I constantly find myself waffling between hoping that Sophia sleeps so that I can get things done (or sleep myself) or that she'll be awake for awhile so that she'll sleep better at night (again, so I can sleep). Am I the only one?

2. How is Easter only a few short weeks away? I feel that Lent is racing by... which probably means I'm not making very many sacrifices this time around. I'm sure that if I were doing more/giving up more, the time would be going by a lot slower.

3. We are in a faith sharing group with a couple other families from our parish, and, as luck would have it, each of us has had a baby in the last couple of months. Here's Sophie hanging out with a couple of her buddies:

4. Wondering what that multi-colored object is in the top left corner of that picture? It's just Grace sporting every last one of her hair clips.

When she walked out of her room like this, a friend seriously thought it was a wig made of bows.

5. Part of the demo/reno project going on now involves a closet where I store some of my shoes. Since I can't keep them in there right now, Grace has been having fun wearing them around the house.

Her latest fashion statement: pajamas from the night before, a fleece pullover, and my red heels. As she is saying while I took the photo: "I'm so pretty!!"

6. & 7. Joe sweetly decorated the house as a surprise for me when Sophia and I came home from the hospital. Last weekend we finally took the balloons down to throw them away, but not before we had a little fun teaching Grace about science:

She really was having a blast, even though the pictures don't show it. We got a grand total of six balloons to stick to her little head.
