7 Quick Takes

1. This morning, I looked at the calendar and thought, "Holy crap, it's June."

2. For my mother: I know you don't like it when I say holy crap, but I'm just keeping it honest around here. You wouldn't want me to lie, would you? Thought not.

3. Last weekend, we spent almost the entire weekend outside (camping, obvs) and got almost no sun. Oh, and did I mention it was 90 degrees out and we were outside?? I was hoping to at least work on darkening up my flip flop tan lines or something. And then the other day, I took advantage of Grace's nap time to ignore some housework and do a little peaceful reading outside for about an hour. It was only 60 degrees or so, so I was wearing long sleeves and jeans.  And I got sunburned. So much for evening out those tank top tan lines.

6. Yesterday, I made Natalie's banana muffins. I'm pretty sure Grace thinks it's the best decision I've ever made. Try them, your kids/husband/friends/special people in your life will thank you.

7. Happy weekend! I hope everyone has better plans than me (sounds snarky, but I promise it's not. I have big plans of .... nothing).
