1. We enjoyed some family time at my cousin's 3rd grade football game last weekend. Grace loved taking off down the track that runs around the field once the game was over, and the little escapee even knew to stay in her lane. Smarty pants. We even came home slightly sunburned, partially because the game took much longer than expected, and partially because who thinks of things like sunscreen in October?
2. Since the weather is unusually warm, we've been taking advantage of opportunities to go for neighborhood walks. Grace loves riding in her wagon and is becoming an expert at finding all the area dogs.

3. We're looking forward to a long weekend in Ohio to visit Joe's parents and attend a reunion of my college girlfriends (and their families) at our alma mater. (I really hope that any fellow FUS alum just got the 'Hail, Steubenville, alma mater' song stuck in their heads like me. You're welcome.) It'll be a whirlwind for sure, but we can't wait for it! Who knows, maybe we'll step out of character a bit and even take a few pictures.
4. I'm supposed to be packing right now (among other things), but laundry is in the dryer and my procrastination is kicking in. Besides, I always work better under pressure. :) Also, Grace's and my seasonal allergies have flared up and neither of us are feeling so hot today. Here's hoping that they'll go away for the weekend!
5. It's several weeks into football season, which means our Sunday afternoons and evenings are spent in front of the TV cheering for our actual and fantasy teams. Yes, teams. Joe and I are in a fantasy league for the first time with some close family. It makes games that we wouldn't normally care about more fun to watch, and the trash talking between league members is entertaining, too. All in good fun, of course. By the way, my team was a bit of a sleeper at first, but is gaining steam and is totally going to dominate.
6. The new, highly anticipated iPhone was finally announced after months of speculation, and Joe's life dreams are finally fulfilled.
7. I just decided that I haven't been posting enough photos lately, so here's one of Grace in her favorite shirt. (Sorry if you're tired of Grace photos, it's all I've got these days.)

1. Thankfully, I never learned our terrible school song, so it's not in my head.
ReplyDelete2. Bravo on joining a fantasy football team. I'm having fun watching David navigate his, but I doubt that I'll ever have the guts/know-how to do my own.
3.Grace is so cute! (Of course)
4.Love it whenever you write: makes my day.
5. Oh! And can't forget! Please, please, please drool a little in front of Scythian for me. I may be married, but... well, you know.
6. Um, heck yes. Two days! =)
